Through 25 consecutive years of live performance, The Mother Folkers remain a Denver musical treasure. We are honored to have the opportunity to document this truly inspired musical event and bring it to a larger musical audience.

The Mother Folkers "Alive At 25!" was recorded live at the Arvada Center on June 13th 1998. In recording such an auspicious anniversary, we felt we were capturing a small piece of acoustic music history. Click for the Track Listing.

The Mother Folkers are a diverse group, each member bringing their own unique forms of expression drawn from folk, blues, celtic, rock. This sisterhood of talent combine to create more than just music; The Mother Folkers is a tradition, a celebration, a collaboration in spirit and sound. In this spirit the group has lasted through the years. As Eileen Niehouse put it, "There was always the support in the group for all of us to be as wonderful as we could be and knowing that whatever was going to happen to us in life, we could talk to one another about it." This is American art in the truest and most beautiful sense.

When the 50th anniversary rolls around, we'll be there to record it!
